David Purks – Raleigh Business Lawyer

A founder of Sage Patent Group PLLC, David’s legal practice focuses on patent and other intellectual property matters since 1994. David has worked extensively with technologies relating to wireless communications, software, electromechanical control systems, actuators, avionics, networking, microelectronics, semiconductor materials, and electronics.

Before forming Sage Patent Group PLLC, David served as the Managing Partner of Myers Bigel Sibley & Sajovec, P.A. and was earlier a member of the firm’s Management Committee. David is a former Associate General Counsel with Ericsson Inc. where he was responsible for patent litigation, licensing, and patent prosecution. Prior to his legal career, David worked as a senior systems engineer at McDonnell Douglas for over seven years developing military and commercial aircraft systems.
